Understanding Water Sourcing and Installation

Fresh Tasting Water

Pure Water Technology offers water purification units and ice makers for offices, warehouses, schools, and other businesses, with all service and filter changes included in the pricing. The point of use units provided by Pure Water Technology give businesses unlimited access to purified water that meets their hydration and ice needs. Service Manager Cory Zink shares expert insights on water sourcing, installation, purification process, and support for businesses seeking an alternative to 5-gallon water jugs, water fountains, plastic bottled water, and water coolers.

Where is water sourced?

“Water is typically sourced from sinks,” said Zink. “As long as there’s water, our tie-ins can run lines to almost anywhere.” Not to mention, Pure Water Technology’s lines are non-invasive and non-intrusive.

What does that mean for you and your business or office?

The installation process won’t disrupt daily routine or activities. Instead, the Pure Water Technology team will use existing water lines in your building to connect to their lines, and run water to wherever you’d like to place your water purification unit or ice maker — no construction needed.

How are Water Machines and Ice Makers Installed?

Depending on your business and its needs, Pure Water Technology will help you customize the best placement for your water purification unit or ice machine. Warehouses, medical facilities, and schools all choose to have their units in different areas of their facilities.

“As long as they have an electric source (120 volts), a way to access water, and a drain source, we can customize a business’s placement to anywhere that they prefer,” said Zink.

The most common placements that Pure Water Technology service technicians handle include replacing water fountains, 5-gallon water coolers in educational settings, breakroom areas in medical facilities, and locations near docks for easy employee access in warehouses.

Limitations in Unit Placement

Pure Water Technology can place units almost anywhere within a business, but some limitations do exist. Specifically, warehouses must have a few requirements.

“With warehouses, a weather controlled environment is needed. If you have a warehouse with high ceilings and intend to run hundreds of feet of line, we need a lift to reach. Water must be potable and a pressure requirement between 40 to 80 PSI is ideal.”

If you don’t own a lift to reach the high ceilings in your warehouse, we can help to provide a lift. Additionally, if your potable water pressure is below 30 PSI, your service will require more support on our end, but we’re still able to provide service to your business and your unit.

Understanding Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filtration

Pure Water Technology has units with reverse osmosis filtration. Our units can purify water from contaminants and debris. Reverse osmosis uses pressure to push water through a membrane, effectively filtering out dirt and impurities, and allowing clean water to pass through to the other side.

“Reverse osmosis can remove up to 95% or more in the filtration process,” said Zink. “If an area or business is worried about lead in water, our units can remove those during our filtration process.”

Post-Installation Service & Support

Once your bottleless water purification unit or ice maker is fully installed and functional, we’re here to help with anything that might occur during regular use. Not only will we provide operational guidelines, we also support servicing the units including changing out filters!

If your unit’s indicator shows there’s a problem, not to worry. We’re a call away to help troubleshoot or fix whatever the service or maintenance issue is. Simply call our service number and our team will coordinate with a service technician.
